What Makes SakoonConnect Different

💍 Marriage-Driven — Not Vibe-Based

This isn’t "halal dating."
Everyone in the room is there for one purpose: marriage.
Not “let’s see where it goes,” not “keeping options open,” and definitely not “networking.”

Each person attending has:

  • Expressed serious intent through their RSVP

  • Passed a vetting process

  • Committed by paying for a ticket

  • Understood the expectations of a respectful and purposeful event

🔐 Real Vetting — Not Just a Form

We get it — anyone can fill out a form. That’s why our process goes deeper:

  1. RSVP Form: Every attendee must fill out a detailed form including:

    • Name, age, background, profession, and intentions

    • Mobile number and address

    • Consent to provide valid government ID on the day

  2. Internal Review: Every submission is personally reviewed — not by AI, but real people who assess maturity, mindset, and intention.

  3. Phone Call Follow-Up: Over the coming weekends, attendees will receive a personal phone call to reconfirm seriousness, address any concerns, and make sure they’re aligned with the event’s values.

  4. ID Check on the Day:

    • Valid Australian Government-issued Photo ID is mandatory

    • If your ID does not match your registration, you will not be allowed entry

    • This applies to everyone, including Walis

This system is in place to protect the room from unserious or unsafe participants.
We don’t promise perfection — but we do promise accountability and intention.

What the Day Actually Looks Like

Here’s exactly what you can expect on the day:

  • ✔️ Private venue space to ensure comfort and confidentiality

  • ✔️ Male and female MCs to guide the event and set the tone

  • ✔️ Icebreakers and guided activities to help conversations flow naturally

  • ✔️ Light refreshments provided — enough to keep things comfortable, not awkward

  • ✔️ Space to approach and be approached in a respectful, halal way

  • ✔️ Wali-friendly — but they must have a paid ticket and matching ID

This isn’t speed dating. It’s not loose networking.
It’s a structured but relaxed experience where everyone has time to assess and connect meaningfully.

💬 Respect Is Non-Negotiable

If at any point during the event someone makes you feel uncomfortable — speak to me or the co-host immediately.

Anyone behaving inappropriately will be removed from the event.
We are here to protect everyone’s emotional and physical safety, especially our sisters.

🛑 Why the Event Is Limited in Size

This is not a numbers game. We’re intentionally capping the event to around 50 attendees max to:

  • Ensure meaningful interactions

  • Keep the energy comfortable and calm

  • Prevent the chaos seen in larger, careless events

Everyone in that room will have been vetted, spoken to, and approved.

❤️ This Is Personal

I created SakoonConnect because I’m in the same position many of you are.
I know what it feels like to show up to events that were disorganised, cringey, or full of people who weren’t serious. I wanted to build something I would attend — and feel good about.

This is not a cash grab.
This is not an ego project.
This is my effort to create a space for Muslims who are tired of fluff — and ready for real.

Only 3–4 events a year.
No gimmicks. Just intention, structure, and sakoon.

If you're tired of dating culture, confused expectations, or people wasting your time —
SakoonConnect is your space.
Let’s do this the right way.
